AugMe Foundation International is proud to have provided breast prostheses to patients at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana. Dr. Lisa Newman, Surgical Oncologist Director of Breast Care at the University of Michigan travels to Ghana annually to perform breast surgery and to possibly find a link between women with TNBC patients in Ghana and African American women in the U.S. The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Ghana, is the second-largest hospital in the country[1] and the only tertiary health institution in the Ashanti Region. It is the main referral hospital for the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions.
