It is with great sadness that we inform you of Dawn's passing.
She made her transition on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010. Dawn's positive attitude and faith in God allowed her to "LIVE" a full and vibrant life for many years while she battled the symptoms of this horrible disease called cancer. With strength and determination Dawn showed others how to overcome obstacles and live for each precious moment; she "lived with cancer" she did not die from it before her time. Dawn would thank everyone for their love and support and tell us with conviction that "ALL IS WELL".

AugMe Foundation is proud to have provided breast prostheses to patients at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana. Dr. Lisa Newman, Surgical Oncologist Director of Breast Care at the University of Michigan travels to Ghana annually to perform breast surgery and to possibly find a link between women with TNBC patients in Ghana and African American women in the U.S. The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Ghana, is the second-largest hospital in the country[1] and the only tertiary health institution in the Ashanti Region. It is the main referral hospital for the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions.
